In 1992, Pietro Vago founded C.D. Verte, a video game distributor, which was purchased by the American publisher Take 2 in 2000, with the intention of establishing a direct presence in the Italian market through the incorporation of Joag Italy.
In 2003, Joag became Take2 Italia, the Italian subsidiary exclusively focused on the sale of videogames developed by the parent company and managed by Pietro Vago as CEO.
When Take 2 decided to concentrate only on its own products and leave the distribution of third party games, as well as due to change in the distribution situation resulting from the closing down of an important company in the sector, Pietro Vago decided to re-establish a new distribution company: DDE Srl, Distribuzione Divertimento Elettronico.
During the first 3 years of activity, DDE acquired the exclusive distribution rights of big publishers such as Codemasters and also signed non-exclusive distribution agreements with worldwide known giants like Electronic Arts, Nintendo and Take2. In March 2007 the company changed the corporate name from DDE srl to Cidiverte Spa and increased its capital stock to €1.100.000.
Cidiverte is ISO 9001:2000 certified, an important international recognition for the quality of the organisation of production services.
